I love demystifying the printmaking process and watching people stretch their imaginations to create works that surprise them. Printmaking encourages us to look deeper into the natural world, that we are all a part of.

Utilising my portable printing press, I can travel to any location for demonstrations and workshops for school, council, corporate and other groups of any age and experience level. While there are many layers of technical expertise that can be built upon over time, the basics can be easily mastered by anyone. It's an exciting art form for all levels of experience.

Workshops are individually designed to suit budget/time requirements, group size and desired learning outcomes. Session times can span from 2 hours to 3 days, with optional exhibition on completion.

Garden Printmaking Workshop with Deborah Wace - 13th and/or 14th of November 2016
Learn a range of printmaking techniques using Deborah's portable etching press in a beautiful, sunny and very productive permaculture vegetable garden in South Hobart, looking up to nearby Kunanyi / Mt Wellington.

A group of 10 people will immerse themselves in monoprint and dry-point plate making techniques, draw plants under magnification and study flowers and insects in Suzi/s vibrant production garden. We will be working inside and out, around the woodfired pizza oven and eat a scrumptious lunch picked and cooked straight from the garden. Everyone will learn and take away a new skill and learn much from Suzi about how she nurtures her soil to provids an abundant harvest of a vast range of fruit and vegetables.

Suzi's garden uses permaculture principles and the latest soil biology to create a healthy soil and to grow nutrient-dense vegetables. It is an experimental garden where methods for achieving soil health are always being trialled.

All materials are provided, bring an apron and sunhat. Im looking forward to your company : )
